Who is it for?

  • Anyone who needs seasonal or doctor-recommended vaccines
  • People with grazes, surgical wounds or wounds that need ongoing dressing
  • Anyone due for stitch removal who has details of when the wound was sutured

What to expect

  1. Screening — We ask about symptoms, drug or vaccine allergies, conditions and how the wound happened
  2. Assessment and care — The doctor or nurse checks suitability before vaccinating or dressing the wound
  3. Aftercare advice — How to look after it, what to expect, and a follow-up date if needed

Before you come

  • Vaccines: bring your vaccination book or record, and check stock before coming
  • Wounds: tell us the cause, when it happened and any treatment so far
  • Stitch removal: bring your appointment slip or the date of suturing, wound location and any problems since

What this service covers

Every wound and every vaccine has its own considerations. We assess before any procedure, explain home care, and refer you on if a wound is beyond what the clinic can safely manage.

Vaccination

We review your health history, allergies and previous vaccines first

Wound cleaning and dressing

Cleaning, checking for infection and choosing a dressing to suit the wound

Stitch removal

The wound is checked for healing first; timing depends on its location and type

Wound follow-up

Advice on keeping it clean, changing dressings and signs that mean you should come back

If bleeding is heavy and doesn't stop with pressure, a finger or limb is numb or won't move, the wound is deep enough to see tissue, or you have a severe allergic reaction after a vaccine, go to an emergency room immediately.
