Before you come

  • Vaccines: bring your vaccination book or record, and check stock before coming
  • Wounds: tell us the cause, when it happened and any treatment so far
  • Stitch removal: bring your appointment slip or the date of suturing, wound location and any problems since

Frequently asked questions

Vaccine types, stock and suitability can change, so confirm with the clinic before travelling. Deep wounds, animal bites, heavily contaminated wounds or wounds that won't stop bleeding may need hospital care.

2 doses, 6–12 months apart. One dose already gives high protection; the second makes immunity last at least 20 years.
